Summer Wrestling Begins Monday, June 22

Summer Wrestling sessions will start Monday, June 22 and go throuigh Wednesday, August 13.  Practices will be from 6PM to 7:30 PM Mondays and Wednesdays.  These summer sessions will be held at our new location in the CrossFit-SWAT gym.  They are geared toward high school and experienced middle school wrestlers.  Our summer wrestling program is FREE for wrestlers who registered for Fall, Winter, or Spring programs.  New Wrestlers fee is $70.

 

Our New Partnership 

The Capital City Wrestling Club will begin practicing at the CrossFit-SWAT training facility located at 8411 Garvey Street, Suite 121, off of Durant Road in Raleigh.  This partnership will give our wrestlers a great opportunity to enhance their strength and conditioning as well as their wrestling skills in the same facility.  Beginning with our High School Summer Sessions on Monday, June 22, all of our practices will be held at the CrossFit SWAT gym.

Our Mission

The Capital City Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide our youth with a positive experience in the sport of amateur wrestling in a fun and competitive environment, and to help them become successful people, students, and athletes.

 

We strive to teach our wrestlers valuable skills important in life such as good sportsmanship, TEAMwork, discipline, work ethic, self-motivation, and confidence to be Champions in all that they do!

 

We are committed to enhancing the overall fitness level and developing the wrestling skills of all of our wrestlers, from our first year wrestlers to our most experienced wrestlers. We will offer programs for a wide variety of ages and skill levels to provide our wrestlers with the opportunity to be as good as they want to be

8. Provide coaches who have been successful at a state, national, and international level, and who volunteer their time to develop our youth of all ages.

9. Provide an atmosphere that encourages parent/family involvement in the club.

Why Wrestle?

Wrestling is a unique sport that anybody can compete in, regardless of how tall or short, thick or thin, fast or slow you are. It is one of the best sports to enhance your overall fitness level since it emphasizes the development of strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and agility. Wrestling helps develop many qualities that help you succeed in life, including self confidence, independence, and discipline. The following is a short list of former wrestlers who have used many of the skills they learned through wrestling to become Champions in life:
